CreaTop: Simplified topology builder
Access this help text as a web page: CreaTop
Presentation and options
This application integrates and makes easier the process of building topology done bythe VECPNT, LinArc, Ciclar, AtriPol and TestTop MiraMon applications. Nevertheless, youshould be aware about the limitations of this simplified application. Concretely,to do some tasks as:
- cycling different polygons upon the same arcs layer.
- using different types of tolerances during the process of topologybuilding (Node snap tolerance, Undershoot tolerance, etc).
- controlling how to deal with multiple records in the attributes database corresponding to the same graphical object.
- etc,
the user should use the specific programs listed before and to control the whole set of parameters. However, in many typical cases, specially when digitizing has been performed with MiraMon using the tools for connecting graphical objects, CreaTop provides a faster and simpler way to create vector layers with topology.
Creatop Points:
Building topology of point file.
Creatop Arcs:
Building topology of arc file.
Creatop Polygons:
Building topology of polygons file.

Syntax
Syntax:
- CreaTop T VECFileName [Tolerance]
- CreaTop A VECFileName [Tolerance]
- CreaTop P [x] VECFileName LabelFileName [Tolerance]
Parameters:
- T
(Points -
Input parameter): Indicates point files.
- VECFileName
(VEC File Name -
Input parameter): VEC or PNT file to be converted.
- Tolerance
(Tolerance -
Input parameter): Tolerance value. If not specified, an 0.001 tolerance is assumed.
- A
(Arc -
Input parameter): Indicates arc files.
- P
(Polygons -
Input parameter): Indicates polygon files.
- x
(Structuration type -
Input parameter): If not indicated, the process of building topology is done from the arcs file. When x is set to 1, the program assumes that a valid arc file exists and uses it to build polygon topology. When x is set to 2, the program assumes that a valid polygon file exists and it is directly labelled.
- LabelFileName
(Label File Name -
Input parameter): VEC or PNT file of labels (points) for polygons.
The final output is:
- Case T: Structured file of points (PNT)
- Case A: Structured file of arcs (ARC/NOD)
- Case P: Same as in case A plus structured file of polygons
(POL)
- In all cases, the name of the output file will be the same as Name_of_VEC_file.
