Presentation and options

This application joins two or more MiraMon vector files into a single file without taking any topological consideration. That is why the output structured files are marked as non-topologic files. This way this is a very fast process. On the other hand, the Mosaic application performs a topological structuring of the output file, making the process more robust but slower and requiring more memory.

In addition to joining the binary files containing the coordinates, the main data tables are also joined. The application supports table fields being different in some properties (size and decimals) but is not allowed to be different in others (name and type). The number of fields needs to be the same for all tables to be joined.

At the moment the metadata generated corresponds mostly to the first file.

The union of polygons is possible but it must be done from the union of cyclized arches. For more details on polygon names destination the syntax below can be consulted.

The application has two options:

Joining a VEC list: This option joins two or more MiraMon vector files from a file that contains a list of the files to be joined.

Joining a sequence of VEC files: This option joins two or more MiraMon vector files from a sequence of filenames in command line.

Joining a sequence of ARC, PNT or cycled ARC files: This option joins two or more MiraMon vector files from a sequence of file names on the command line.
